Next up in the Ultimate List of Wedding Songs series is songs that you can seat your parents (and grandparents!) to! This list isn’t nearly as long as the last but it has some great songs on it, nonetheless!

You should only need to pick 1 song but if your aisle is super long you may want to have a second song ready to go! Or you can always just start it over, of course.

Again, the ones marked with an * will be on more than one list. So here it goes…

2. Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John* [Genre: Pop/Rock Time: 3:59]

  1. Great selections! I am already married so I won’t be able to use them for mine, but will pass it along to friends who are getting married. My fave is Stand by Me and What a Wonderful World!

    1. Bahaha! Oh gosh, hopefully his fiance knocked that one down. Though it might be kind of cool and at least get a chuckle out of people lol

  2. I’ve never heard of a song to seat your parents too. It was not a thing I thought about when I got married.

    1. I’m not entirely sure if most people do but I’m a huge music buff so I needed to find the perfect song for every part of our wedding. Also, during our ceremony we did not have a band (to save money) so I had to make playlists on an ipod that could be hooked up to a speaker.

  3. That’s awesome! I love the choices, they’re all very sweet and perfect for parents, without a doubt. This is such a nice list!

  4. This is a great list! I’ve been married for over 9yrs but the fact is, my wedding was akin to an elopement. That wasn’t my intention when I left home to be with my boyfriend, but we did end up getting married (in Las Vegas, no less) without telling anyone. But we have always wanted to re-do our wedding so that our families and friends could come.

    1. You can do a vow renewal and do the whole shindig this time! You can do it at a milestone year like 10, 15, 20. I’m sure people would really like that!

  5. These are a great song choices. My favorite song is Can you feel the love tonight and what a wonderful world. I enjoy listening those songs.

  6. Great choices! I especially love that version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I’m not sure what song we used at our wedding to seat are parents!

  7. I love it! These are all such awesome songs to choose from! I think I like the first one best. I know for me choosing songs for everything for our wedding was the hardest because we are both such major music lovers we couldn’t narrow it down enough.

    1. Yes! That was so hard! I started with a list of over 1700 songs to choose from! How we narrowed it down, I still have no idea ๐Ÿ˜›
